Training grants will be awarded to young paediatric nephrologists from developing countries within Europe (preferentially but not exclusively, applications from EU countries will be considered) to enable them to spend up to 3 months at one or more established paediatric nephrology centres. The total amount of each grant will be 1000-3000 Euro depending on the distance from the country of origin and the length of the training period.

A grant application form (A1) should be completed (including the signature of the head of department) and sent (preferably by e-mail) to the Secretary General of the ESPN, together with a curriculum vitae and a letter of acceptance from the doctor who will be responsible for training during the fellowship. Please keep copies.

A second part (B) should be completed at the end of the training period by the trainer and trainee and sent in by the trainee with a copy of  A1.

Applications for Training Grants are discussed at ESPN council meetings biannually (in September-October and February-March). Deadlines for applications are September 1 and February 1.

The decisions are shared with applicants within two weeks after ESPN council meeting.
